The Rudolf Buchheim 200 Conference will bring together basic researchers, medical doctors and pharmacists dedicated to pharmacology. The conference will glimpse backwards at the history of pharmacology and review the state of the art of clinical practice and modern technologies in action of developing better medicines.

The purpose of the project to hold a conference to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Rudolf Buchheim, carrying on the traditions and upholding his memory. Being held in Tartu, the congress will introduce Estonia to about 100 foreign guests, many of whom may be here for the first time. The congress contains a tourist programme, in the range of which we will show the sights of Tartu, its immediate surroundings and other regions of Estonia as well.

The Estonian Society of Pharmacology is funded with 18 631.20 EUR by Enterprise Estonia (EAS) from the EU European Regional Development Fund to organise the Buchheim 200 Conference. The aim is to present Estonia as a favourable destination for international conferences and congresses.
